Over the last 2 years, Jade has organically become part of a community of American songwriters and artists, and the likes of Jason Isbell, Sheryl Crow and Jade’s right-hand woman, Brandi Carlile have all taken the British voice firmly under their wing. The culminating moment happened at the Newport Folk Festival last year where Jade, Brandi and Sheryl performed 9 to 5 with Dolly Parton, Linda Perry, Maggie Rogers, Natalie Hemby, Maren Morris, Amanda Shires and more.

As ever in the world of Jade Bird nothing stands still for long and armed with all the experiences of the last two years, Jade returns with ‘Headstart’, which was recorded in the iconic RCA studios by powerhouse producer Dave Cobb (Brandi Carlile, John Prine, Lady Gaga). A ballsy but playful 3-minute rampage through the early signs we give off at the start of a relationship, ‘Headstart’ is cool, confident and classic Jade Bird but with everything ramped up a notch from before.
