Kaaktaal is a Dhaka based Bangladeshi band which started its journey from the confinement of prison. It initiated as an experiment.The aim was to involve isolated individuals in music for the enlightening of minds and soul. Although nobody was sure about the results and how it is going to effect the people, with time, it slowly established itself as a powerful way to heal minds.

Asif Iqbal, a passionate individual has been keeping this flow as fluid and constant as possible from the beginning. So because of that a series of original songs got written, composed, performed and enjoyed by inmates and now finally being documented even with the least amount of resources available. Still it is being done because the beauty of it lies way beneath the surface- in the process.

Kaaktaal first appeared publicly as a band on the 20th of August,2021. It has been growing strong ever since.
