Letters from God - How to Hear From God

These letters saved my life and taught me how to hear the voice of God.

I am not a theologian. I am a human being who has cried out to God in the middle of the night and learned, slowly, to stay quiet long enough to hear what came back.

Some of these letters are my own cries to God. Many more are not — they are the cries I have carried on behalf of others: the mother who confided in me at 2am, the client who couldn't find the words to pray it themselves, the stranger's pain that found its way to me anyway. I sat with each one until I could hear what came back.

What I discovered — and what these letters hold — is that God has never stopped speaking. Not to the Christian on her knees. Not to the Muslim at Fajr. Not to the Jewish father at the wall. Not to the agnostic standing at a grave, not knowing who to address, but reaching anyway.
